Social Responsibilities

  • It is very important to nurture young minds to realize their responsibility towards the society. All our students from nursery to grade 6 were encouraged to donate a fistful of rice everyday along with rations like dal and other toiletries. These items were collected at the end of each week. After a month, the students of any one grade, starting from 6, took all the collected items and handed it over to the Home for the Disabled in Jaganguda, Shameerpet Mandal . Our children enjoyed spending time with the under privileged and interacted with them enthusiastically. After they saw people live with far fewer things than they themselves have, our students were able to develop a sense of gratitude for all the things that they have.
  • Birthdays are special for any child. Rather than distributing sweets or candies on their birthday, we encourage our students to gift books or saplings to their friends, this initiation helps kids to inculcate interest of books and also growing plants and taking care of the environment. Taking this thought of celebrating their birthday differently, some of our children have gone an extra step and donated books to the library, planted saplings in the campus to make their day extra special. Their contribution keeps us inspired and motivates us to bring in more and more value based initiations.
  • India is a country which takes a lot of pride in celebrating festivals. At The Creek Planet School, we take pride in celebrating festivals as one family where, even our support staff, play a vital role in the festivities along with our students, teaching and non- teaching staff. We lead by example in showing that everyone ought to be treated equally irrespective of their caste, creed, colour or social standing.
  • A 5K Run for Fun was conducted by our school to promote health consciousness in the people of our locality. Hundreds of people signed up for the event and participated eagerly. It was a joy to see so many people of all age groups respond to our call and take the pledge to keep themselves healthy. There were old people in the participants, who still had the courage to take part. We were really inspired to see some parents carrying their little ones while walking. Their attitude humbled all those who give all sorts of excuses to take care of their health.
  • Our chief guest for the event Mr. Ranga Rao, who is a member of the Greater Hyderabad Adventure Club, wholeheartedly appreciated the management for conducting such events which drive people of the community towards a purpose while bringing them closer. He also encouraged everyone to continue to push themselves towards a healthier future which is possible through exercise and adventure.
